Pop Haydn is an acknowledged expert in the short con games that were played during the Alaskan Gold Rush. His demonstrations of the Shell Game, Three-Card Monte, Fast and Loose, Chink a Chink and other hustles of the Old West are both amazing and enlightening.

Pop can do a college level lecture on the history of the Gold Rush and the incredible con men, like Soapy Smith, that ended up taking most of the gold, and demonstrate the methods and ruses that were actually used. He has a hundred funny and interesting stories about the grifters and charlatans of the 1800’s and their impact on the United States today. He can replicate the pitches and spiels of these medicine men, sure-thing gamblers and con artists. It is a wonderful lesson in morality, psychology and human behavior.

Or Pop can set up a shell game table at any Casino Night and take on all comers. He can let them win or lose however he wants. The Gold Rush stories and costume and character add a wonderful touch of romance and history.
