Pop Haydn's Lectures and Talks
Pop does several interesting lectures for groups.
He is an authority on the con games and history of the con men of the 19th and early 20th Century.
He has written books and published instructional DVDs on the methods, history and psychology of Fast and Loose, The Shell Game, and Three-Card Monte.
He also does a lecture on the the Alaskan Gold Rush and on Jefferson Randolph "Soapy" Smith--the most notorious gangster and con man of the 19th Century. Soapy was killed in a famous gunfight with vigilantes on the wharf at Skagway, Alaska--a town he controlled with a gang of 100 con men. It is a fascinating story, backed up with photos and eye-witness accounts of what really happened on that fateful night in 1898.

Pop Haydn and Chef Anton
Pop Haydn, along with his business partner Chef Anton--the two-time National Trick-Shot Champion at Pool--has taught an eight-hour seminar and instructional course on the Shell Game, Fast and Loose, and the Three-Card Monte at the Magic Castle in Hollywood every November since 1996. About 30 magicians, gambling experts, historians, police and lawyers take this course each year.
For Steampunk groups, he has also presented a lecture on surviving by one's wits with short cons in a time period other than your own, was a panelist at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles, and lectured at the Steampunk Expo in Dearborn two years in a row.
Pop also lectures on magic techniques and the philosophy of magic to magic clubs, professional magic organizations, and magic conventions around the world. He has lectured for magicians in Canada, Australia, Europe, UK, and all over the United States.
Pop has twice participated as a panelist in discussions on communication at the USC Annenberg School of Communication.
